Satellite images of Baghdad and London make up the body of this figure. Both cities are digitally superimposed to incarnate the gut, while the former makes up her head and breasts and the latter her lower limbs.

‘Eve with a Pencil’ 2009-2017  is about the dovetailing of body and psyche, how current geopolitical events inhabit the body. Events can take place in a far away place, though their repercussions are felt locally, even intimately.
